Welcome to my first monthly mask review! I’m excited to share my love for masks with you lovelies. Each month I’ll be trying out a variety of different masks that are either: popular, recommended by an expert, or perhaps I’m just curious to try. Once I narrow it down to my favourite(s) of the month, I’ll be posting a review, and give you all the details about why you should try it.
GLAMGLOW: Supermud, Youthmud, Powermud
Before getting into this I’ll share my reasoning behind the three Glam Glow masks reviewed below. While setting up Rebecca’s Beauty Boudoir, I was desperately seeking a mask that would help me with: extracting my black heads, brightening my complexion, exfoliating, and preventing makeup build up (because everyone knows I wear tons!) Now I was really open to trying out a couple of options so with a bit of research, I came across the Glam Glow line. Each of the masks I selected below targeted one or many of my reoccurring skin concerns, so It was hard to just pick one for this month!
SUPERMUD: (White) If you’re like me and you tend to get black heads easily, believe me when I say this is going to become your holy grail product! The Supermud mask was designed to extract impurities while fighting common concerns such as: ingrown hairs, blemishes, black heads, and white heads. It’s recommended to leave this mask on for about 5-20 minutes.
YOUTHMUD: (Black) This mud mask helps resurface the skin while helping achieve brighter and smoother skin. I love anything that smooths the texture of my skin because it is creates a beautiful base to work with when applying makeup. This mask has exfoliating properties which will remove dead skin cells that are on the surface of your skin. After the use of this mask, your makeup will sit better on your face because it wont have any dry patches to linger onto. Removing dead skin cells from your face prevents your makeup from looking cake-y. Because it was originally designed to be a quick pre-red carpet fix for celebrities, you won’t need to leave this on for more than 10 minutes.
POWERMUD: (Green) This is a mud mask that turns into an oil. The PowerMud mask penetrates deep into the skin and easily removes buildup. I love how the mask transforms into an oil because it’s not stripping away any essential oils, it doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry after I remove the mask. For someone like me who frequently wears a full face of makeup, this is a great way to prevent buildup while detoxifying the skin. After leaving this on for about 5-10 minutes, remove the mask with warm water. When removing the mask, use circular motions to activate the oil treatment.
So those are my mask picks for January! Let me know what you think about this month’s picks and let me know what you want me to try out. Who knows… your suggestion just may be on here next month!
